He is Watanuki, though it seems he has been exhausted lately. I am certain he was referring to his experience when he first arrived to the island. The river is indeed dangerous, there are piranhas and other creatures lurking in the waters.

I'd deserve it. Getting so lost and being so useless. How did I even get myself into this situation? From being stupid and letting that beagle get the best of me. I HATE HIM SO MUCH! When I get back I'm going to make him suffer.
